Free Medical Device Review for New Medical Requirements

Offered by D.L.S. Electronic Systems, Inc.

New EMC requirements found in the EU Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC, per EN 60601-1-2 will become mandatory November 4, 2004. There is no grandfather clause. To help manufacturers determine if their product complies with the new second edition requirements, D.L.S. Electronic Systems, Inc. is offering, at their Wheeling, IL and Genoa City WI locations, a free medical device review. Background Information European Standards for Medical Equipment have been updated. Many new EMC tests have been added, as well as changes made to the old requirements. Fifty specific product standards now exist. D.L.S. offers manufacturers an explanation of the new requirements and an evaluation of their product for compliance.
