Dr. Stanley Chien
Dr. Stanley Chien is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
at IUPUI. He received his BSEE degree from University of
Wisconsin-Madison in 1984 and his Ph.D. degree from Purdue University in
1989. His research interests include software engineering for embedded
systems, parallel and distributed computing, and robotics. He published
60 refereed journal and conference papers. He has one US patent. He and
his research group at IUPUI have developed a distributed system tool
that supports dynamic load balancing and fault tolerance of large scale
parallel and distributed computing on heterogeneous computers. Dr.
Stanley Chien received many government and industry sponsored grants and
contracts. He taught object-oriented modeling in UML and autocode
generation course at several companies. He also did many consulting
work at industry. He is a member of IEEE.
Dr. Chien will be providing a 4-hour Workshop on
Object-Oriented Modeling and Code Generation For Embedded Systems using UML.
